Sonnenkopf Skiing area
Due to its ideal altitude, the Sonnenkopf is one of only a few skiing regions with natural snow. Because of its topographic situation there is also a high guarantee that there is snow for skiing, even until late spring. By the way, the price-performance ratio is also excellent! On the sunny high plateau of the Sonnenkopf, at almost 2300m above sea-level, which you will reach easily by cable car, a great range of wonderful winter hiking trails, cross-country ski-tracks and slopes are waiting for you. No matter if beginner or advanced, children or adults – everyone enjoys the broad range of slopes in the Sonnenkopf skiing area. The Sonnenkopf skiing area is deemed to be the best freeride spot. Back-country fans are enthused by the snow-covered hillsides, where they can explore on skis or snowboards.
Since its opening in 1975, the skiing area Sonnenkopf has become popular even beyond the national borders. All our guests, coming from Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and, of course, from Austria, find exactly what they are looking for at the Sonnenkopf. No matter if skiing, snowboarding, hiking, cross-country skiing or tobogganing, if young or old – our skking area is ideal for everyone!
