The Klostertal with its holiday resorts Braz, Dalaas/Wald, Klösterle and Stuben am Arlberg is located between Bludenz and Arlberg and is one of the most popular holiday destinations. Warm hospitality has a long tradition here, going back to the Romanticism and the tourism of stagecoaches. The Klosteral spreads over 30km from Bludenz to the Arlbergpass and connects Vorarlberg to the rest of the federal territory. The Verwallgruppe is located south of the Klostertal and in the north is the Lechquellengebirge with the Klostertaler Alps. The settlement of the valley is characterized by the traffic, as it connects east to the west. The cable car “Arlbergbahn” was built in 1880 and was responsible for the development of modern tourism. Today, tourism and regional handicraft businesses are important for providing jobs.
