At this station, the focus is on the bears’ sense organs and strengths. Also, the children can compete against a bear and see who can run faster.

Distribution of the bear population in the Alps. You will also get to know the interesting story of the bear JJ1, also called bear “Bruno”, which was the first bear in Austria after 170 years.

The children will be informed about winter dormancy, the bears’ life throughout the year, mating behaviour and the growing up of young bears. Furthermore, encounters of bears with human beings will be discussed.
