The relatives of the bear, which are wolf, fox, marten, lynx and wildcat will be presented to the guests.

At this station, the focus is on the bears’ sense organs and strengths. Also, the children can compete against a bear and see who can run faster.

At this station the diet (plant and animal food) and the bears’ feeding behaviour will be explained.

31. Pull someone’s leg

Children have to answer questions about everything they have learned at the previous stations. Furthermore, they will listen to stories and have to decide whether they are true or false.

32. Bear tracks

Distribution of the bear population in the Alps. You will also get to know the interesting story of the bear JJ1, also called bear “Bruno”, which was the first bear in Austria after 170 years.

The children will be informed about winter dormancy, the bears’ life throughout the year, mating behaviour and the growing up of young bears. Furthermore, encounters of bears with human beings will be discussed.
